Q: What is a look?
A: Basically, one look constitutes a visual style, whether it’s one outfit, or one backdrop or location or one lighting setup. Every time something fundamental about the image changes, it becomes a new look.

Q: Like if I turn to the side?
A: No, you can turn to the side and it will still be the same look.

Q: What if I restyle my beard into a french fork from a ducktail?
A: Restyling your beard would constitute a different look.

Q: Why do I want more than one look?
A: So many reasons! Maybe you’re a model and you need a comp card with multiple shots. Maybe you’re a character actor that would do better to not use the same shot for every audition. Or maybe you just want more options to choose from. Different visual styles for your headshot, just like different clothing or different font or handwriting can highlight a different aspect of yourself. Q: Where’s your studio?
A: On the North Side of Chicago, Albany Park.

Q: Can you come to my house?
A: Yep! Within 10 miles of our studio without any extra charge.  (Over 10 miles, let’s talk!)
Advantage: You are in a space that you are very comfortable in.
Disadvantage (perhaps): You are going to have to clean that space.

Q: Can you come to a place other than my  house?
A: Depends on where it is. Some places require licenses/permission that is not free.

Q: How do I book you for an event or show?
E-mail Candice. Candice@oomphotography.com. Our rate depends on the event/show. To give you an example:

• Shows: $100
• Weddings: $1000
• Other types of events: $300
• Button Events! (Events where we come to your event, take pictures of your guests and 30 minutes later, they get a button of themselves): $200 for 100 guests.

Q: Why are you so cheap? Are you new, do you know what you are doing? This worries me!
1. We are in an in-house photography studio – So we don’t have the added fees that come with owning a studio…yet!
2. Oomphotography has been around since 2008. That still makes us newish. In exchange for having great prices and great services, we hope that you – the happy client – will spread our good name around Chicago.
3. We both have worked in Chicago Theatre, and have many friends who are doing theatre in Chicago.  Thus, unfortunately, we know how much most theatre professionals make in Chicago.
